2024 was another growth year for SAPAA’s Social Media presence. Social media refers to both our website (sapaastewards.com) and a Facebook.com site.
(Unless otherwise noted, the following graphics and values are for the 2024 calendar year rather than the 2024-25 SAPAA Program Year).

Views and Visits
Views are how many web pages were visited and visitors is one person visiting at one point of time (if you leave and then come back, that is two visits).
To the reporting date (November 25), views of the website are slightly more than 10,000 with nearly 5,300 visitors. Last year there were 6,431 views and 3,244 visitors; a 50% increase year over year. This growth is consistent with prior years starting in 2021 (the first year statistics are available).

Search Engines (e.g. Google) now represents the top referral method to the website with Facebook a very distant second followed by a sundry of methods. This is consistent with 2023 data.

Computers and mobile devices are the two preferred methods of accessing the site. SAPAA ranks, on average 13th on returned Google search results. Last year, SAPAA had an average position of 15.4, an improvement of 2 positions!

Most visitors were from Canada with the United States a distant second. The reason for non-Canadian interest may include research future future tourism visits.

What Did They Do?
Newsletters dominate the downloads followed by information items on specific sites.
The membership application form was downloaded 213 times. Unfortunately this did not translate into paid membership.

Facebook Statistics
There are 70 Facebook followers. The group is passive with little activity other than posts from SAPAA itself. Due to capacity, there are no plans to expand into other social media venues such as Tiktok or Instagram.
