Helina (PNT) Natural Area


Located about 45 km southeast of Lac la Biche, this PNT is near but not on Frenchman Lake.

Other Information

The NA is located in the Municipal District of Bonnyville, its western boundary aligning with the borders of the Municipal Districts of Lac la Biche and Bonnyville. Much of the surrounding area is likely Crown land with agricultural leases, although the land ownership maps for both districts are inconclusive in this respect [1, 2].

In 1984, Frenchman Lake (to the north of the site) was the subject of a land use study which recommended mixed use for this area [3].
