Other Information

This site occurs on two northwest-southeast-trending ridges dissected by creeks. There are several springs in the area. The natural area contains mainly aspen regenerating after a fire in 1956, some mature white spruce-aspen stands, a sedge meadow in the northwest quarter and mature balsam poplar along the creek. These plant communities provide good wildlife habitat.

Highway is (not) on a highway. The locality, Highway, is near the intersection of two secondary highways, 751 and 647. The NA itself does not appear to be accessible from any highway or road [1].

Surrounded by Crown Land. The northern border of the NA is on the boundary between Woodlands and Yellowhead Counties, with the site being wholly in Yellowhead County. According to the Yellowhead County Map, the surrounding land appears to be Crown land [2].
