George Lake Natural Areas is composed of three distinct and non-adjacent sites with only one close to, but not on, George Lake. The area is about 90 km northwest of Edmonton.

Other Information
The south portion of this site is rolling terrain with mainly aspen forest & dense shrubs; the north portion contains George Lake & consists of post-fire successional dense young aspen.
The intervening land between the north and south portions of George Lake (OC) Natural Area belongs to the University of Alberta and private land owners [1]. A site visit in 2020 indicated limited some human disturbance, in particular foot and ATV traffic [2]. There is little information available about the PNT portion.
